New West Grand Avenue Project

Here’s a sneak preview of an exciting new project under construction in Oakland, California. The upper level deck includes three key elements: a working truss with custom adjustable brackets, a railing crafted from recycled material, and newel post and trough planters that will soon sprout plants with edible produce.

And pictured below, the lower level rhythmic floral staircase railing that showcases Working Art’s proprietary patinas.

Working Art is a company established to explore the intersection of art and architecture through welding and metalcraft.
The following photos are of a project recently completed for Touchstone Climbing in Oakland, CA. In addition to designing and building the staircase and observation system below, Working Art collaborated on the design and fabricated the armature for the climbing walls–the tallest climbing walls on the west coast.
